Positive Pathways

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Positive Pathways programme can award a fixed grant of £35,000 for projects developed by and for veterans. Projects should aim to improve veterans’ mental health and wellbeing by getting veterans out and active.

Projects must be activity based. This might be: 

·        sports

·        arts/culture activities such as music or theatre

·        getting outside, for example gardening activities

·        heritage projects such as conservation or archaeology.

To be eligible for this grant you must be a charity or CIC with a proven record in providing successful activity based project to veterans, more detail on the application process and criteria can be found here.

Walking with the Wounded is one of the six military charities chosen to help applicants and grant holders connect the work they are doing with wider pathways of support for veterans with mental health needs.  Details of all six Strategic Partners can be found in the Guidance Document.

If you applied for funding in round 4, you can expect to receive your decision by the end of November 2020.

To be considered in the 5th and final round, you’ll need to have your application in by noon on 30 November 2020 and can expect to receive your decision by the end of February 2021.
