WWTW Programmes

Walking With The Wounded ‘WWTW’ deliver employment, mental health, care coordination and volunteering programmes in collaboration with the NHS to get those who served, and their families, whether mentally, socially or physically wounded, back on their feet and making a positive contribution once more. Why? Because those who served, deserve.

We do four things: employment, mental health, care coordination and volunteering which are saving jobs, homes, relationships and lives for the veterans who are struggling since leaving the military.

We are also regenerating communities – such as buying a run-down street in Manchester for £1 as part of BBC DIY SOS’s biggest-ever-build creating ‘Veterans Street’, including a new office for us to support veterans across the North West. Other staff are located throughout the UK and work in collaboration with other agencies. We work in partnership with the NHS, local agencies, police custody suites, other veteran charities, and local authorities.

For the small but significant minority of ex-service men and women who do not have a successful transition to civilian life, WWTW provides high-intensity support to help them regain their independence and thrive.
