Liam Abbott, Managing Director at IQ Precision Group, and his team are hosting a stretcher hike on Saturday 07 September in support of Walking With The Wounded.

Established in early 2024, IQ Precision Group aim to support ex-service personnel with the transition from military to civilian life, particularly through training and employment opportunities.

With full support from their Ambassador Aaron Moon, who was heavily injured in Afghanistan in 2009 when an IED exploded underneath his vehicle, IQ Precision Group have now arranged a fundraising military stretcher hike from the Bolton Wanderers Toughsheet Stadium. The hike will see two teams each carrying a 70lb stretcher holding 100lb of weight as they embark on an 8-mile round trip, ascending the Winter Hill Mast and travelling over to Rivington Pike before reaching the finish line at the bottom of George’s Lane in Horwich, Bolton.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Liam Abbott, Managing Director at IQ Precision Group, said, “The core aim of IQ Precision Group is to help our ex-armed forces have a more nurtured prospective within future employment, providing them with opportunities that cater to their existing attributes learned whilst serving our country. We understand just how important these services are and want to do what we can to ensure services like this reach as many veterans as possible, which is why we have chosen to support Walking With The Wounded and the vital work they do.”

Tom Grimshaw, Relationships Manager, at WWTW added:“We are extremely grateful for the support from businesses like IQ Precision Group. They share our belief that those who served our country deserve to be supported, and by fundraising on behalf of Walking With The Wounded they are enabling us to continue our work in helping veterans who need our support.”
