On Wednesday the 01 May, Op COURAGE North were presented with the Provider Collaborative Specialist Services Award for its work with veterans.
The veteran mental health and wellbeing service is a partnership consisting of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS FT, Pennine Care NHS FT, Leeds and York Partnership NHS FT, Humber Teaching NHS FT, Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS FT, Walking With The Wounded and Combat Stress.
The Positive Practice in Mental Health (PPiMH) Awards, now in their 10th year, celebrate the significant contribution individuals and organisations make to mental health support and services across the UK.
This year, the awards ceremony took place in Southend-On-Sea, Essex and brought together NHS Trusts, charities and service user groups from across the country.
On winning the award, Tom Knight, Regional Manager Northwest WWTW said – “This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication that everyone within Op COURAGE North has invested. I’m delighted that everyone’s work has been formally recognised.”
