Veteran-owned Black Alpha supports WWTW with commemorative whiskey bottle release

A limited-edition single-cask Irish whiskey is being released to mark the 80^th anniversary of the disbandment of Britain’s Special Operations Executive, honoured through Operation POSTMASTER.

Formed in 1940, the Special Operations Executive conducted espionage, sabotage and reconnaissance missions in German-occupied Europe and aided local resistance movements during World War II. Now, 80 years on from the disbandment of the organisation, a commemorative bottle is being released by veteran-owned business, Black Alpha Whiskey, with £5 from the sale of each bottle being donated to Walking With The Wounded.

There will be just 220 limited edition bottles released, each presented in a bespoke solid ash case with a concealed drawer containing specially curated items including an Illustrated history booklet of Operation POSTMASTER and the Special Operations Executive, Commemorative challenge coin, Certificate of authenticity, and a map of Fernando Po, printed on genuine Second World War parachute silk.

Money raised through the sale of the limited-edition whiskey will go towards supporting veterans through our core Employment, Mental Health and Wraparound Care Coordination programmes. As well as this partnership supporting our work, Black Alpha Whiskey being a veteran-owned business also highlights the great things that veterans can go on to achieve after service.”
