David Moncrieff has joined Walking With The Wounded as an Ambassador for the Longest Day 80 fundraising challenge. The fundraising challenge is set to commemorate the 80thAnniversary of the historic D-Day landings.

As part of the Longest Day 80 campaign, WWTW supporters are encouraged to take on a fundraising activity centred on the number 80 throughout June. The campaign gives fundraisers the flexibility to do something that personally challenges them, such as exercising for 80 minutes a day or cycling 80 miles throughout June.

As the WWTW Longest Day 80 Ambassador, David Moncrieff expressed, "It is a great honour to represent Walking With The Wounded as the Ambassador for the Longest Day 80 fundraising challenge. I served in the Armed Forces for 22 years. Military life can be both rewarding and tough, and I've had experiences that will stay with me forever. I've learned that no matter how hard life gets, you must push on and be as resilient as possible. This message will hopefully resonate with everyone participating in Longest Day 80. Although the challenge may be tough, it's important to persevere because the funds you raise will significantly impact our veteran community."

Victoria Doran, WWTW Head of Relationships, added, “The Longest Day 80 fundraising challenge is a great way to show support for those who served whilst paying respects to the historic D-Day landings and the sacrifice made by so many all those years ago. All donations from the fundraising challenge will make a significant difference to the veterans and families that WWTW supports.”
