Veteran Jason Holbrook is undertaking a 550-day challenge which will see him walking the coastline of Great Britain. His fundraising aims to support a number of charities close to his heart, including Walking With The Wounded.

For a large period of his life, Jason has suffered with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, but thanks to support from charities such as WWTW, he has found the strength to keep fighting and continue on his journey to improving his mental health, and now aims to help others do the same by supporting charities like WWTW.

A true testament to his strength and determination, Jason is embarking on a mammoth challenge – walking the coastline of Great Britain. Throughout the challenge, Jason will be covering 11,023 miles, and will be on foot for an estimated 550 days, whilst camping along the way.

Giving his reasons for taking on the challenge, Jason said: “I’m taking on this journey as it Is something I feel very passionate about. I’ve had my own struggles in the past, but I’ve made it through thanks to these amazing charities I’m raising money for. Most of all, I want to raise awareness of mental health issues, and get everyone talking about their struggles and worries.”

Victoria Doran, Head of Relationships at WWTW, added, “Hearing about the challenges that people like Jason carry out in support of Walking With The Wounded is wonderful. Knowing that our supporters are willing to take on such enormous activities because they understand the importance of the work conducted by WWTW, fills us with a huge sense of pride. We wish Jason the best of luck in his challenge, and look forward to keeping up with his journey.”
