Churchill Group has renewed its corporate partnership with Walking With The Wounded (WWTW), reinforcing its commitment to supporting veterans and their families across the UK.
The partnership supports Churchill Group's ESG strategy by advancing social impact through employment initiatives for veterans and their families. It also aligns with Churchill Group’s longstanding commitment to the Armed Forces community and its Gold Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. Through the renewed partnership, Churchill Group will support WWTW’s employment programme, which helps veterans and family members overcome barriers to employment and secure sustainable, meaningful careers.
Latest figures from WWTW demonstrate that last year, 1,018 veterans were supported through its employment programme and 363 veterans were helped into sustainable employment. The programme provides tailored support, practical skills development, and access to employment opportunities to help former service personnel successfully transition into civilian careers.
As part of the partnership, WWTW’s employment team will also work with Churchill Group to further strengthen veteran employability within the organisation. This includes support with accessible job descriptions, recruitment opportunities, mentoring, and raising awareness of the challenges some veterans face when transitioning from military service to civilian employment.
Speaking about the partnership, Tom Grimshaw, Partnership Manager at WWTW, said: “We are grateful to Churchill Group for its ongoing commitment to Walking With The Wounded and those who have served. This partnership demonstrates genuine support for the Armed Forces community and strengthens our ability to help veterans secure meaningful employment. It also enables us to benefit from Churchill Group’s expertise while creating new opportunities for those we support.”
Charlotte Macdonald, Churchill Group Social Impact Manager & Co‑owner, added, “We’re proud to continue our partnership with Walking With The Wounded and build on the progress we’ve made together. Supporting veterans and their families into meaningful, sustainable careers is central to our commitment to inclusive employment. By working closely with WWTW, we can better recognise the strengths veterans bring and create opportunities that help them thrive in civilian roles.”
